Senior Scientific Officer
Microbiology and Cell Biology
Research Areas:
Thrombosis, Platelets and Anti-thrombotics, Respiratory Diseases (COPD), Application of Flow Cytometry in Biological Studies
Research Highlights:
Our focus is to understand the pathogenesis of COPD by developing suitable animal models and in vitro test systems. Identify the suitable targets/pathway for therapeutics/interventions in treatment of COPD diseases. Also, we are working on platelet signaling and interventions from natural sources which can inhibit intravascular thrombosis by using flow cytometry as a technique. Further, we are using flow cytometry to address various biological problems and developing newer and novel protocol in understanding various cellular signaling and processes.
